In compliance with SQT’s approved QQI policies learners whose first language is not English must provide evidence of equivalent competence in English Language of greater than or equal to B2+ in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). Students must demonstrate their competence in the English Language. Normally this would be demonstrated in one of two ways:

1. By passing one of the recognised English Language Tests accepted by SQT (IELTS, Duolingo)
2. By studying a degree level, or above, qualification in a country considered to be majority English speaking

If the above evidence is not available SQT will accept confirmation of English language competency by completing the below declaration.
