What has changed, what it means for your QMS and your audits, and how to plan the transition

Introduction

Expand/Collapse Expand/Collapse

This course is for experienced ISO 9001 practitioners and auditors

If your quality management system already works, the move to ISO 9001:2026 shouldn’t mean starting again. This half-day workshop is for people who already know ISO 9001:2015 and management system auditing, and who need to know what has changed, what it means for their system, and what to do about it.

We compare the 2015 and 2026 editions side-by-side and separate the genuinely new or strengthened expectations from the editorial tidy-up. Then we guide you on how you put that into practice: spotting the gaps, deciding what evidence is proportionate, and building a transition plan that suits your organisation. The aim is to update an effective system, not to bolt something new on top of it.

What's covered?

Expand/Collapse Expand/Collapse
  • The revision at a glance. What has changed, what hasn’t, and the transition timetable.
  • The key themes. What’s new or strengthened: climate context, quality culture, ethical behaviour, risks and opportunities, and awareness.
  • What it means for your QMS. The practical effect on your existing system, documentation and responsibilities.
  • What it means for auditing. How the changes affect internal and external audits, including the evidence you’re likely to see and the questions worth asking.
  • Gap analysis and transition planning. Working out where you stand, setting priorities, and preparing for certification to the revised standard.

In-Company delivery:
For In-Company training, there will be a pre-course conversation to understand your organisation and your people. We tailor the workshop to your current ISO 9001:2015 system, your sector, your audit programme and your planned transition timetable. Where it helps, exercises can use your own material, such as your context analysis, quality policy, risk and opportunity records, awareness materials, management review agenda and internal audit documentation. We can integrate site-specific details like your quality policy and QMS scope, so the day reflects how your organisation actually works.
